This class brings out the inner artist in our beginners! Our fun projects are geared toward developing drawing and painting skills, while also encouraging individual creativity and expression. In this engaging class, students learn fundamental art elements – including line, shape, texture, color, value and space – by drawing their favorite animals, characters, still life, vehicles and more. Many of the projects are guided; however, each student works with his or her own vision and produces a unique, finished piece.

This class teaches older beginners to trust their artistic instincts using the same step-by-step structure as our younger classes. Students learn fundamental drawing and painting concepts as they build confidence in their skills and their ability to make their own artistic decisions. Media exploration increases in this class and encourages students experiment with chalk and oil pastels, watercolor and acrylic paints, markers and colored pencils.

This class is a combination between our Level 2 class and our Level 3 class. It is the perfect mixture of teaching older beginners to trust their artistic instincts using our step-by-step structure as well as working on advancing skills by bringing more three-dimensionality and realism to the artwork. With an emphasis on shading, perspective, composition and developing finished pieces, students are encouraged to foster their own style and creative approach.

This fine arts class is intended for students who have intermediate drawing skills and are looking to learn more sophisticated artistic techniques. Students in the Mastering Art class are ready to advance their skills by bringing more three-dimensionality and realism to their work. With an emphasis on shading, perspective, composition and developing finished pieces, students are encouraged to foster their own style and creative approach.
